About Family Wellness

Dr. Amy Williamson

dr. amy williamson Dr. Amy Williamson started her career as a healer 25 years ago as an RN. She worked in diverse settings ranging from cardiac intensive care to nursing home care. 17 years ago she took a life changing position as an RN in a naturopathic medical clinic here in Fairbanks. She quickly realized that patients in a natural medicine setting were improving in health and vitality instead of deteriorating and receiving more and more medications and surgeries. Inspired by the healing she witnessed, she attended Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, which is a four year, full-time accredited medical school located in Tempe, Arizona.

Since graduating in 2002, she has practiced in Fairbanks with special and continual training in both allopathic and naturopathic diagnosis and treatment of allergies - including asthma, eczema, dermatitis, sinusitis, seasonal allergies, chemical sensitivity, and digestive disorders. In the area of allergy medicine, she is one of the most thoroughly trained naturopaths in the country with extensive training in both sides of the allergy picture. Dr. Williamson also treats the whole family from infants to elders for most health concerns, laboratory examinations, and physical exams.

Dr. Williamson has received specialized training in the Arvigo technique of Mayan Abdominal Therapy, which is a method of gentle, noninvasive uterine adjustment that can assist women with menstrual issues as well as fertility concerns. Dr. Williamson has two young children and enjoys spending time with her family, working out, cooking healthy traditional food, and traveling as much as possible.

julie voigtI have worked as a massage therapist in Fairbanks for seven years. I have, in that time, studied and practiced several different styles of massage. I learned from various teachers how to personalize my massage routine. My integrative style draws from traditional Thai massage, integrative shiatsu, and trauma recovery training. I would love to help you achieve more passion for life through my somatic focused massage session. I am passionate about Thai bodywork because I believe it changes patterns. Perhaps your daily pattern produces pain or stress. The pain and stress negatively affect you and those around you. Repattern your body with Thai massage at Fairbanks Family Wellness.
